The story of “Photojournalism workshop”
Assalamualaikum all. I’m back in Shah Alam after a 4 day workshop in Cameron Highlands with Mr Zainal Abd Halim. He is a former Reuters photojournalist with experience in covering war in Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Olympic games and others. One major reason for me to go is to improve in my “picture making” ability. Sharpen my eye to get the “moment” that matters. 4 others were my classmates for the workshop. The location of the workshop is Boh Tea Plantation at RInglet (MNS Field study chalets located deep inside the plantation, reachable by 1 way track high up in the mountains). The air is cool, far from internet (and facebook) and no other people in a 1 km radius. Perfect spot for meditation and self reflection.
Our best pictures were posted in Abang Zainal’s blog HERE.
Here’s a collection of my pictures taken on Friday (first day..kinda blur and without a clear sense of purpose).
Our chalets were in the center of the picture…can you see it?
We spend quite some times with the tea pickers. It’s a hard work and the terrain is treacherous. Very steep hill and very tiring.
We went to the orang asli village but only this picture survive..the others are not good enough.
Second day (Saturday) was even better….
Playful kids at the playground provides a lot of pics for us
One of my fav. Cute puppy
The dog was named Kopi
And he was really cute and playful
Even kids in the rain can be turned into something nice
