The story of “A week in review 16~22 June”
Assalamualaikum all. Last week had been very productive of me. here’s a quick recap of what I’ve done.
On Tuesday & Wednesday I assist my friend Hafiz Ismail for a basic photography class held at MARDI (Malaysian Agricultural Research & Development Institute) in Serdang. Me and Nazir were the assistant for the theory & practical part of the course. While assisting in teaching, we also learn. My camera is never far from me. Because the trainers need to show example to the students.

MARDI is home to several research areas. Here is the beautiful “Laman Sayur” where they hang the vegetables upside down!
I simply go bonkers seeing all the beautiful flowers & vegetables. One of my fav subjects since my early days in digital photography.
Shape and lines also make for good subject.
Flash setup behind the leaf shows the hidden beauty of the leaf.
I couldn’t attend the last day which is the photoshop basic but the 2 days had reconnected me with one of my earliest favorite subject in photography. I’m also grateful that the students (researchers & support staff of MARDI) are eager to learn. They ask good questions and that spurs you to give them more.
I joined BNI (Business Network International) in Late April. Upon recommendation from Hafiz Ismail. It’s a business organization where business owners form chapters (there’s more than 50 in Malaysia alone). It started in US and now BNI was in >50 countries with >100K members. My chapter is called the BNI United chapter and we meet every Thursday morning at Eco Green Cafe in Wisma Bakti, TTDI.
Being one of the youngest and the only photographer in the chapter (There can only be 1 person representing a type of business in a chapter), naturally I become the Official Photographer. Last Thursday the chapter organized a Visitor’s Day to increase the members number in the chapter (from 30 to more). The speaker for the day was Avryl Au. She is a BNI Regional Director for Malaysia, Thailand and several other countries.
This is only 2/3 of the chapter. Many more cabut already by the time this picture is taken.
